Orientation
Today was Orientation Day at school. It was essentially a review of the administrative stuff, but also we had our first "ethics" class. It was kind of a get-to-know-you thing, and a bit touchy-feely. It was cool to see who I'd be hanging out with for the next year. It's a diverse group... from people fresh out of high school to older folks in transition.
I'm not worried about the "hands on" stuff, i.e. learning the actual technique. It's the book stuff... anatomy and physiology. This shit is gonna kick my ass. But I think I can do it... with the support of my friends and my mate, I can get through it. I'm not a kid anymore, and I think I can actually apply myself this time around.
The semester starts in two weeks... I have to cover the check I wrote for a deposit (mom, help!) and I still have a bunch of books to buy. Looks like I'll pack it onto my credit card.
See you in two weeks.
